The Department for External Church Relations
of the Moscow Patriarchate
has published the second, reviewed, edition of the collection
"Orthodoxy and Ecumenism"
The book contains documents and materials on relations between the Orthodox
Church and the ecumenical movement. It provides information on this issue
from the first sources, which are official documents, texts of presentations
made by prominent church leaders and articles by Orthodox authors. The
book includes the most materials from the first edition except those which
are no longer relevant. These are supplemented by articles by such well-known
Orthodox theologians as Archpriest George Florovsky, Archpriest Nicholas
Afanasyev and Archpriest Alexander Schmemann and by a number of important
documents which are fruits of theological reflection for many year on the
Orthodox witness before divided Christianity.
The book is intended for theologians and theology students, clergy,
laity and all those who are interested in today's theological problems.
